Painting up some scouts for my Salamanders..
I'm fairly happy with this test model. I've bought into the retconned fluff about them all being red-eyed and black and given this one ash white hair for contrast. Otherwise the scheme is my own with desert-coloured fatigues and black rather than white shoulder pads.
Update July 17:
With the new landspeeder storm model coming I see GW have done one in Salamaders livery... and the scouts are done differently to the Armageddon campaign era of years ago. Gone are the white shoulder pads and their scheme is pretty much exactly what I've done above!

Must. Pick. Up. Brush.
Good work as usual, though will need to see the retconned flesh in person - not to critique the paint job as such as I know it'll be excellent as usual - but just to try and imagine how it'd work army wide. That fluff still sounds a little too 'cool' if you ask me.
You should try a group shot of all your Sallies for your other commentators that visit here - you have enough!
Like the way you used desert-coloured fatigues! Makes them look a lot more neat and special than just genericSalamanderish.
It's a similar combo of bestial and bubonic brown that gives the base the yellow tint, and I thought it went well with the gold aquila. Yellow is in green of course, and the eye lens of helmets in my army. I actually considered using almost no green but decided that if they were serious about camo they'd use camo cloaks.
